pool light...what should I replace ?

Every time I turned the pool light on the circuit breaker would trip. I took out the light from under water and opened it. There was water inside the light's cavity- which is what caused the breaker to trip. The bulb inside is a regular spot light bulb. The gasket around the outside glass seems ok but I am sure water went through it. Can I purchase the rubber gasket separately, or does it come with the glass as one piece ? Thanks.

Is this a GFCI circuit breaker?

yes you should be able to replace just gasket, however it must be completely dry before reassembling. If light fixture is very old it would be better to replace...

Yes it is a GFCI. Light fixture is 8 years old and never had any issues with it until water got inside the fixture. Is it too old ? Thanks.

I would try the lens gasket first if the fixture looks to be in good shape...
