Hayward heater not working

My 3 year old Hayward H110ID heater started making a grinding noise, then a pop. The ignition seems to be working, but no blower.

if blower is not coming on that would explain the noise, heat exchanger is getting too hot as heat is not being drawn up through it. Need to trouble shoot fan, have you verified it getting power? What have you tried?

so I assume you did not see anything? Was it working then stopped or sitting a while then tried to use it? verify power to fan first

sounds like a bad fan if it was making noises before quiting. Could be bearings? Verify power, try to spin fan to see if it is locked up.
