Pool Ph
My pool Ph level is very high above 8.0, I first added Ph minus and it didn't do anything, so I read that I should add some muriatic acid, I added one gallen of muriatic acid waited about 6 hours and tested it, and tested it and it did not change at all, I dont want to add another gallon because the pool isn't more than 17,000 gallons. The chlorine and bromine levels are normal. Does anyone know what to do next?

I'm a little surprised you didn't get at least a little reduction after 6 hours, but it may take longer to see a drop.
What testing method are you using and if it's DIY are the materials current (not overage/expired)?

How are you testing? Muriatic will definitely bring your pH down so it is just a matter of adding enough. However, since one gallon didn't move your pool, I would confirm the results of your test before adding anymore.
A gallon of muriatic (31.45%) should have dropped your pH by a ton so I really suspect your test is invalid or your pH was absolutely astronomical (above 10)

I just bought a new testing kit from home depot, it appeared to test the chlorine correctly,I followed all the directions. I also added half a gallon later that night and checked the Ph in the morning and there was no change at all...

also the muriatic acid is 14.5% hydrogen chloride
What you added was mostly water. Also.....when adding the acid..... you should either pour it in the pool VERY slowly or predilute it in water first.
Do not let anyone swim in the pool with acid recently added.

Just a suggestion but take a water sample to your local pool store to have tested they usually will tell you exactly what steps to take at no charge. A gallon of muatic acid in a 17,000 gallon pool is quite a bit even if it is only 14.5
