Replace bands around filter cartridges

I am the new pool owner and dont know much about the maintenance.

My pool filter has round cylindrical cartridges. I used the pressure washer to clean the filter cartridges. The cleaning was very nice. However, the bands around the cartridges broke due to water pressure.

The cartridges are in very good condition, except the broken bands. So I would prefer to repair/replace the bands around the cartridges.

I bought the "Extra Firm Stabilizer Fabric" from hancock fabrics. CLICK HERE. I thought of make thin strips of this and glue it around the cartridges. I dont know what type of adhesive will be appropriate for this application, since it will be always in water and chlorine. I dont know if this is the correct solution or not.

Please advice on what can I do to repair the bands around the cartridges.

Thanks alot in advance.

I would try hot melt glue or a two part epoxy.

find some shipping strap and use a heat source to heat both ends then use vise grips to close and seal. also in the future you should soak filter in bucket of hot water with a couple tablespoons of cascade overnight then rinse well in the morning.
