Can I shut down an inground pool in mid-July for one week -

Hi

My name is Joe

I am going to be gone in mid-July for one week, I live West of Chicago. Just wondering if I can shut down my In-ground pool while I am away. I have no one to provide the maintenance that is required. Just wondering if there are chemicals I could use to keep in relatively clean.

Thanks for any forthcoming comments

If you are only leaving for one week, why can't you leave the pump running?

Yeah, I wouldn't shut it down. Do the chemicals (maybe a shock) just before you leave and let it run. I'd assume you have timers...or can let it run on low speed?
