Pleatco PA100-M vs PA100

What's the difference between Pleatco PA100-M vs PA100?
Which cartridge filter is better?

Thanks!

The only difference is the M stands for microban filtering media, it's blue and it costs $10 more.
Which is better..... most likely no difference in filtering qualities. It would appear that the blue media has antimicrobial qualities that may be helpful depending on your water and area.

Thanks!
I re-ordered the Aqua EZ 100-sq ft Pool Cartridge Filter Model #: C8610 (see image) from Lowes ($65.46 shipped). Take note of the 5 bands instead the standard 4 bands. When the order arrived, it was not the same filter with 5 bands but rather it was a Pleatco PA100 with 4 bands.

That being the case, I did a quick price check on Pleatco PA100 and found one for $49.21 shipped so I ordered it to compare. When this order arrived, it was not the Pleatco PA100 but rather the PA100-M with that blue antimicrobial media.

It would appear, keeping the PA100-M and returning the PA-100 would be the way to go.

Don't be afraid to shop around. There are some online spa & pool retailers that have filters I've found of better quality than my very old brand named ones.

No fear my friend...Shopping around 's how I found the $45.99 price + tax ($49.21). I'm all ears, if someone has a better price on a compatible product.
