solar cover help

solar cover help

Any pro out there know of a style, material or brand of a solar cover that might last more than thee years? Seems no matter if u buy an expensive one or the cheapest, you get like thee years at best!

I'm not a pro on pool covers just a pool owner and I gave up on solar pool covers. Between the covers ripping and the inconvenience of rolling the thing up... it was just too frustrating. I think the final blow was when the cover reel rolled into the pool.

Point well taken but they do extend the season by far.

Well, it's been years, but when my parents put one on their inground, they were told it would be a replaceable item.

I mean, the ones I know are basically bubble wrap...they won't last forever exposed to the elements.

This is one reason I fought my Ex- tooth and nail about a pool. The initial cost might not be that bad but they bleed you dry every year. I'd rather pay $10 a month and use the public pools.
