Nautilus NS48 DE Filter Grid Assembly question

I got a very nice replacement grid assembly (Pentair 192326) for the ancient OE part, but the new one has a hole in the top of the manifold and the old one did not.

The new one came with an air vent strainer (which the old one did not have), but there is no way to connect the strainer to the manifold. The vent hole on the manifold is not threaded, but the strainer base is threaded female. I see other pics online with the strainer attached to a tube, so I guess I am missing the tube perhaps. How does that tube stay attached to the manifold vent hole?

I'm puzzled.

Based on what I'm seeing.... you are missing #11 the bulkhead nut and #10 is a spacer.

Thanks for the reply, but that is not my problem. My issue is with part #13- Manifold Grid in the link in your post. It is the composite plastic part on top of the filters, not the top of the stainless steel shell. Thanks, tho.

Sorry.... you mentioned air vent which is on the top of the system. I'm not really sure what you're referring to. I see part 13 as you mentioned but don't see what you are describing.
