Hayward H250 display issue
Pete, in an old/closed thread called H series Hayward control issues, you recommended to "check for water damage" the display processor board in cases where the keypad/display are not functioning. What exactly should I look for in the way of water damage?
I have a situation where the display/keypad membrane was damaged by hail a few years ago, but the display and control buttons continued to work, although the temp up/down were flakey.
Today when I went to turn the heater on, the Standby led is lit but pressing Mode does nothing. There is no error code displayed and the heater does not turn on.
Is there any way to narrow down the problem without replacing al three parts?

Welcome to the forums.
If the control pad, where the buttons are, was damaged...... that would be the likeliest problem area.
If water got into the keypad the buttons would stop working.
