What solutions do I need to clean my used hot tub?
I have inherited a used hot tub. I was told the previous owner have not used the hot tub for years. I'm in the process of flushing. However, after flushing/purging, what solutions do I need to use to clean the hot tub so that it looks a bit newer. It looks kind of old and dusty.
Any suggestion is much appreciated.

Go to a boat store if you are looking to polish it some. Otherwise plain old white vinegar will work for most mineral deposits.
If it has a real wood surround, treat it like you would a deck.

Are you certain you need to "polish"? Does your spa have a glossy finish? Has it been scratched? If you have one of the acrylic tubs with a shiny surface you might need to polish if someone has used an abrasive cleaner on it in the past. In that case I'd take a page from auto/boat finishing and see the steps needed to restore a gloss finish. Basically you are using abrasives to polish/grind out the scratches and then move to progressively finer grits to polish it up to a gloss finish.

Marq1, I don't know what type of material it is. There is no model number on the hot tub. All I know is that it was made by Super Spa a long time a go. However, I believed it was acrylic.

Acrylic can get fine scratches from use and cleaning with abrasive cleaners. You can polish the scratches out. Read up on how automotive paint finishes and fiberglass boats get buffed out to remove scratches.
