Cool

My husband and I are shopping for a spa for our outdoor deck(we live in Florida). Anyone out there have any advice on what to look for? How about what to look for in pumps, repairs, etc.? Thanks

Wink A spa is a spa

I have been in the spa retail business for a while in WI, and I can tell you a spa is a spa. It all depends on how big you want it. Don't let salesmen pressure you into things you don't need. when talkng about pumps, look at braking or continuous horse power. When some people list a pump as 4.5hp that usually means it's only 2.5 continuous hp. Remeber the more jets you have per pump, the less pressure out of each one. Check out what kind of spa pack it has. there are only a few good ones, the best being Balboa. Other than the control(spa pack) or the pumps, basically all tubs are the same. Although I would stay away from the "J" word spas, because their parts are usually 2-3 times more expensive, and "Hot S" spas are just overpriced to begin with.
Good Luck
