How to fix leaky hot tub jet?

I realized that one of our jets is leaking, and upon closer inspection it looks like it's started to become separated from the tub itself. I'm not sure if maybe someone stepped on it or something else.

Here are a few photos. Do you have any recommendations on best way to realign and reseal this jet?

A lot depends on the jet itself .

Some can be taken apart from the inside of the tub and internals replaced.

If the housing is separating or broken then you will have to get to it from the outside and replace.

Owning a tub means you have to do a lot of the work yourself, the cost of repairs, having someone come out, get sreally expensive.

That part of your spa appears curved so the straight back of the jet is not flush. That could be part of the problem and why it's started leaking.

You'll need to get access to the back side of the jet. There is a large nut that attaches the jet body to the spa shell. Leave the hose attached and remove that nut and push the jet out into the spa. Thoroughly clean the edge of the hole in the spa shell, the surface of the shell and the back of the jet with rubbing alcohol. Apply sealant to the hole, the base of the threads on the jet body and the back of the body. Then go back to the outside of the spa and slip the nut back onto the jet and tighten. If any sealant oozes out wipe it off before it cures.
