Our pool comes close to overflowing when it rains, and I'm looking for ...maybe a small sump pump to bring it down 4 or 5 inches, so the water level is about to the middle of the tiles.
It used to have a overflow drain, a hole at about mid tile height that fed into our deck drains. When it rained and the water got to the hole-in-the-tile, excess water drained to the street. When our decking was redone, that overflow was gone. (I like to think that with a 22 foot long 1"(?) drill bit I can put in another!)
As it is when it rains too much, I put two garden hoses together so it reaches the street and start a siphon. This routine is just getting too old (& so am I).
I'm looking at sump pumps, but they're all much too big for what I think I should need. I also would like something with a float/switch that'd shut it off when it gets down to where it should be.
Anyone hare have the same problem? Any ideas? Any solutions?Read More
The attached picture shows a box at the rear of the spa controller on my Jacuzzi J-335. You can see in the picture that the plastic barb fitting has broken off inside the black box (lower right). Also pictured is a similar attachment point/port at the top of the black box. Firstly, any help in identifying these parts would be appreciated. Second, I have tried a couple of methods of extraction, but can't remove the remaining, male part of the barb fitting from the lower right port. It is threaded, right? Any tips for removal? Finally, I don't think there was anything attached to the port on top. Would that make sense? I would appreciate any advice in how I might get this back together...or what I should replace to get up and running. This is a J335 spa controller dated 6/3/08. Thanks.
