Sauna straps...what are these?

Two leather straps attached to the inside of my sauna room. One strap at the top and one at the bottom on the non-hinge side.

Sorry.....on the door. One ar the top, one at the bottom.

Newly installed heater isn't working

I just installed a new Balboa M7 heater and it doesn't work. It's and exact replacement of the previous heater (4.0w). The pump works and I have 240v coming into the control board. Each terminal on the heater (multimeter one lead on the terminal and the other on ground) has 120v but when I put a lead on each terminal I get 0v (I thought it was supposed to be 240v?). The panel is acting funny as well. The temp continually flashes 104 or cycles F1-F8 on a loop. The lights don't work. I can get the pump to turn on if I press and hold the jet switch (first time low, second time high, and third time off). Nordic Escape SE Balboa NORVS300 240v Spa Pack (part #55887-04) I replaced the heater because it was causing my GCFI to trip. There was corrosion on one of the terminal posts and a small leak in that area. Any and all help is much appreciated!! ChrisRead More

Multi-port valve question

Our sand filter has a Carvin (I think that is tha same as a Jacuzzi) multiport (7) valve for which I do not have a manual. Assuming that a multiport valve is pretty much a multiport valve - is there a position which should let the pump suck in water from the pool/spa and simply return the water back directly without engaging the filtering mechanism ? A pass-thru if you will. Thanks. Read More
