Strange breaker trip and pump stopped
Hi, I have a swim spa and it was running fine until I found it not running and the primary 70 amp feed breaker had tripped but not the secondary 50 amp spa pack GFI breaker. May have been related to a power outage. The 70 amp primary feeds the 50 amp GFI. I powered it up but the circulation pump will not run. The pump has power to it, checked with current/voltage detector. I replaced the pump and it still does not run. This is odd as the Gecko spa pack should turn the pump on or off. Its a simple system. I checked the spa pack fuses and they all have continuity so not blown. The controller appears to be starting up as usual but the pump does not run. The spa pack is a Gecko IN.XE-5-11-H4.0. 240V. 4Kw heater. At first I had a FLO error as the pump was not running but now it does not even give me that.
Any thoughts on what next to check or replace? Thanks.

Welcome to the forums.
You need a meter to check for 240vAC at the spa pack.
It sounds like you may be missing one leg of the power.
A basic meter is all you need.

Yes..... but you need to see 240v also.
You could have one of the legs out and still see 120v on both legs.

Here are the readings at the spa pack leads, Red to Neutral or Ground 120V. Black to Neutral or Ground 120V.
One of the readings above was 134V I think which is odd.
Red to Black, almost nothing. Should be 240 right? However if I was only getting 120V feed to the spa pack wouldn't one of the red or black feed be 0V to neutral or ground?
Is it safe to check the voltage at the GFI breaker or main panel feed?
