Sundance 880 chelsee no display and transformer problems
I have a Sundance 880 chelsee 2011 and I have no power at the display and the breaker doesn't trip. I have a transformer that goes to the circuit board that says it's supposed to be 12v but it is showing 5 volts. I purchased a new transformer and the new one also said 5volts. Also attached to the transformer wires was the led light panel for the tub so I disconnected it and the transformer then showed 8 volts now the highest I have Read. I have power to everything in the tub and the fuse is fine on the main board. What is causing this? Thank you.
My information is showing a dual primary/ dual secondary transformer.
Input: 120v/240v and output: 12.4vac @ 2.25A and 9.25vac @ .5A.
Is that correct ?
If not I'll need the part number off that board.
You need to make sure you're using the right input wires based on 120 or 240v.
With the plug unplugged you should be getting two different voltages.
Here is the transformer that I have had for the past 2 years I bought a new one because I throught it went bad but im not sure. It only uses one plug Here is my board. I believe my hottub is either the 780 series or 880 series I wasnt sure.
It looks like your spa is only using the 12.4v output. The blue looks capped off.
There would need to be a heavy load to lower the voltage on that transformer.
The area circled in yellow is the DC power supply driven by that 12vac. That's more than likely where the trouble is. It should be getting red hot during operation to be lowering the transformer voltage that much.
My pool equipment survived the Arctic storm we had in N. Texas a couple of weeks ago. I drained it using the plugs on the heater and pump. However, recently I noticed when the pump stops, the water runs out of the system. Luckily, the hot tub level doesn't drop overnight. Additionally, when the pump is operating at a low speed (without the floor cleaner running), it appears to be circulating the air in the system. I clearly can see it from the cover on the pump.
I went to Leslie's Pools to see if they have a recommendation. They told me I need some reverse valve, which they were sold out, but their technicians might be able to get. But the sooner tech appointment is six weeks away. Please note, this is a chlorine pool. The salt generator is disabled. Any help with troubleshooting or advising the kind of valve that I might need to replace would be appreciated. I will try to search online.

We have a new 2020 Hot Springs spa, it was suppose to come with a three pack of replacement cartridges for the fresh water system. The dealer keeps giving us the run-a-round on why we don’t have them. I looked on line and it appears replacement cartridges are out there but no one post a price or delivery. Dose any know what the issue or problem is?
