Question Running 220 for Outdoor Hottub

Does anyone out there know where I can get information on the electrical code for running 220 specifically for an outdoor hot tub?

220 wiring for a hottub

Thanks for the tip on the home wiring site. I was planning on running the the 220 through the attic. Do you know if conduit is required to run 220 in an attic?

220v wiring

check with your city, county, and the nec National Ele. Code available on line
or it would probably be a lot simpler to go down to your city building department and inquire,

keep in mind you need to know how many amps. service the spa will require, [ most 6 kw heaters w / spa paks require 50 amps dedicated service ] the larger the amps. the bigger ther wire , also how long the ele. run will be.
