Question Pool Equipment

I am in the process of having an inground pool & spa put in. Any ideas of how to find the best brand of pump, filter, and automatic cleaner?

I think my basic choices are Hayward, Jandy, and Stayrite for the pump and filters

The cleaner I am choosing between the Polaris, Ray-Vac, Kreepy Krawly, or the Caretaker automatic cleaner.

Any suggestions?

Try a search in the archives here and you should find lots of opinions on those subjects. Good luck.

Kreepy Krauly

If your new pool is rectangular, I would not recommend a
Kreepy Krauly. My pool is 16 x 38 and the sweep could not
handle the corners well which is where the bulk of your
dirt lays.

Diatomaceous filters are best.I also like polaris cleaning system. I am on my third pool with spa's. I also like dry chlorine powder for the pool but I use clothes clorox for the spa.I would buy a the floating bubble cover ,you can raise the water temp by 12 degree's in about a week. Good luck

If you search previous posts you'll find some rather lengthy discussions of filters, esp. D.E. vs sand vs paper element.
