Cool pool purchasing

I am interested in buying an above ground pool. The Intex Easy Set pools are very appealing because of the ease of installation. I am looking for feedback from owners of these type of pools concerning the durability of such pools as well as any other information about your experiences with them - whether it is good or bad. Thank you in advance for your time.

Intex pool

I have an Intex pool for 3 years now and have been very satisfied with it and no problems. They did not include good instructions on chemical use but you can go to a pool store and they will tell you how to treat the water depending on what size you buy. It is so easy to set up,store in the winter, and is child resistant if they keep all metal or such objects out of the pool.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it! Do you have a deck around yours, or do would you not advise this? We would like to have decking on 2 sides of our pool, but are concerned about the pool rubbing against the wood. Also, do you take yours down for the winter?

Intex pool

We don't have a deck yet but plan to. No expert but I think a deck should be safe if you put some type of "bumper pad" around the area where the pool might rub. We live in Texas where temps get in the 30's so we take it down and store in the winter.

Glennia..Why do you take your pool down each year? It gets below freezing here and we just winterize ours (SE Mo.) I cannot imagine taking a 24 foot pool down (size of ours) once its up. We just run off the water below the skimmer, shock it, and cover it.
