Holiday Cinnamon Coffee Cake

1 cup sugar
1 stick butter
2 eggs
1 cup milk
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
Topping:
¾ lb confectioners sugar (about 2 2/3 cup)
¾ cup flour
1 stick butter
2 tablespoons cinnamon (add more or less to taste)
Cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, milk, baking powder, salt, vanilla, and flour. Spread batter evenly in greased pan (9 x 12). Mix topping ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle over batter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes. Yields about 12 to 15 servings.
