Question Paula Deen's Goulash

She was on The View the other day and had a pot of her goulash. Boy, did that look good!

Anyone ever made this from her recipe? Comments?

Thanks,

Baldwin

Well....I Made It

It was alright, tasted like goulash. Wasn't too pleased with her House Seasoning. With shipping it came to $13.50 for four ounces of salt, pepper, onion and garlic.

Like my daughter said, "Isn't goulash just a big pot of stuff?" I guess.

Well, it's not a pot of "stuff", it's specific "stuff".
I make a simple hungarian goulash (got the recipe from a real hungarian lady.)
I cut up some beef chuck into about 1" squares and also cut up a pork chop. Cut up a large onion (cut in half, then slit down the middle, then cut half slices). Put it in a pot with some oil, then add salt, pepper and LOTS of Paprika (these are the only spices used and paprika is what makes goulash). Brown it all, add water and let it cook a few hours. Thicken it with some flour mixed in water. Serve over egg noodles.
That's it!
