Convert fried donuts to baked?

I have a recipe for deep fried donuts that is an old family favorite. My wife had a heart attack last year so as bad as donuts are for her, deep fried is even worse. Is there an easy way to convert a deep fried recipe so it can be baked instead? Thanks for any help.

I don't think you can use your exact recipe to bake them instead, because there's probably something in it that needs to be changed, added or left out, if only slightly.
If you compare your recipe to the ones below, you might be able to figure something out. If not, you can always try out a new recipe.

I found this on the King Arthur Flour website:
Baked Doughnuts: King Arthur Flour
Sounds easy.
This is a recipe made with yeast:

I did some searching & found my recipe to be similar to a lot of cake donut recipes. I'll try an original recipe first then I'll tweak it to my personal taste. Thanks.
