You need something thin enough to fit along side of the key with a sharp edge to hook it. Sometimes a safety pin with a bent tip will work or a coping saw blade. Another method that works good with thicker keys is a 1/16 drill bit drilled in to the end. The friction of the bit in the hole is usually enough to pull the key out if there are no other hang ups. If you still cannot get it out, the cheapest thing to do would be to remove it from the door and bring it to your local lockshop.

Lock Glue
Try a small dot of super glue you'll need a steady hand so as not to touch the side of the lock. BETTER YET stiff fine point tweezers.
