Mul T Lock Deadbolt

Mul T Lock Deadbolt
I have a Mul T Lock Deadbolt. One of the springs popped loose inside, and now that I opened the backplate, I see it but have no clue where it goes back.Is there any "schematic" or illustration that I can see to try and put it back in place?

Where exactly did the spring pop out from?
I'd strongly suggest that you take it in for servicing by a professional. If you remove the plug from its housing, all the rest of the springs and pins will fall out (we're talking of a total of 15 pins minimum), and that's not a situation that can be easily rectified without the proper tools and knowledge as these being a high security brand, are assembled differently than a standard deadbolt.
Look in your telephone directory for a locksmith who advertises as a Mul-T-Lock dealer.

I suspect it's a little spring that goes into the little hole in the back of the lock. (Not the Keyway) If that's the one I'm thinking, there is a brass pin that should be loose inside also. This spring and pin fit into notches in a brass cap that screws onto the back of the lock. (Although, I can't imagine it coming that loose, but it can happen). If you have those parts, when you put the cap back on, you will have to depress the spring loaded pin while tighting. When you get it on snuggly, back the cap off one notch on the pin. This will leave it loose enough to turn the lock, and still be tight enough to remove the Key freely.
If the spring is from INSIDE the lock, take it to a Multi-Lock dealer for service. And to give you a heads up, if it did in fact come out of the inside of the lock, the lock has a serious problem and should be replaced. (Not the whole mechanism, just the lock cylender itself. (Take your Multi-Lock card with you).

This happened once before. What happens is that when you turn the knob from the inside of the house to lock or unlock, the "bolt" only comes down half way then pops back up.After removing the deadbolt from the door, and removing the backplate there are only 2 springs which look like cotter pins. One is underneath the Knob or handle and the other one which is the one im talking about has something to do with the bolt assembly.

Multi-Lock Dead Bolt
Hi Rovi, This is a new one on me. I have done some work on Multi-Lock, but I'm not familiar with this. If I'm reading this correctly, it sounds like you either have a defective bolt, or the bolt actuator is bad. I would take the whole thing to a Multi-Lock dealer. Sorry, I wish I could help you more.
