Adding a deadbolt to wooden door and concrete frame
Hello, I need to Add a deadbolt to an old wooden basement door with a concrete frame. What would be the least painful way to accomplish this? Thanks,

Concrete frame?-with no wood at all between the door and the concrete?
Whether it it is a steel concrete filled frame, concrete or a thin jamb over concrete, proceed as normal with deadbolt install on the door. Then figure out where the bolt needs to enter. Once you get to the concrete, it can be removed with a carbide drill bit, rotary drill is ok if the concrete is not real hard, a hammer drill if it is. On an actual concrete surface, I would install the strike plate into some holes with plastic anchors to help keep the edges from crumbling/wearing.
