Removal of door knob of lockset

Removal of door knob of lockset
I am trying to disassemble a SHOWA IS401 lockset but is unable to detach the inside doorknob. There is a hole on the doorside of the knob shaft but putting an appropriate screwdriver in did not detect any spring loaded latch mechanism for detaching the doorknob. It appears that through this hole I can see the rotating shaft when I turn the handle but again putting pressure on did not result in any give except a feeling that the shaft is rotating with the turning knob. I tried prying the plate that is flushed with the door but there appears to be no yield and further examination showed that the plate and knob appears to be one assembly?---This I mean that there is no potential space for the plate to travel, if it were pried away from the door, since it is part of the shaft of the knob and jutted against the knob. I am really at a loss and any kind help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum Jigayjo!
I am sorry, I have never heard of this brand and nothing similar comes to mind. I get the impression this is not a U. S. lock?
Some general comments: spring retainers do get stuck sometimes, especially on older locks and may require some light tapping with a pin punch and hammer and a bit of lubrication.
I have seen locks where the metal trim has rotated over the spring retainer, blocking access (old Yale key in knobs). This requires rotating the trim back to the proper position to allow access to the retainer through the poke hole.
I cannot recall any locks offhand where a spring retainer removed both knob and plate-usually just the knob.
