FUHR lock removal

I am trying to remove a FUHR lock/deadbolt on my front door. I cannot get the handle (knob) off of the deadbolt and therefore can't remove the plate. There is a hole on the cylinder, but it does not seem to be a spring. Any help is much appreciated!!!!

Most FUHR products are found in England. They are usually mortise deadbolts using "yoke" or "euro" cylinders.

The door edge usually will have a philips or blade metal thread screw that acts as a retainer. If there is a thumbturn inside, you will need to turn the thumbturn slowly while pulling, after loosening and removing the retainer screw.
