Bolt stuck in lock. how to get it out?
THe latch to the bolt did not work properly. Tried to force it and the bolt got stuck in the door. Removed the handle and external accoutrments. Don't know how to remove the bolt, because I can't open the door any suggestions. Here is a link to a picture of the problem. And lift, push, pull, and wiggle the door at the same time to help relieve pressure on the bolt.
That slot at the top is what the rotation of the center actually acts on. There should be a little lever type thing that acts on the bolt itself. You may have to work up there with a hammer and screwdriver to try and drive it to the rear.
