Can we switch to a different security company and bring our existing night owl cameras, monitor and DVR?
☆DVR:
" Model# DVR-THD80B-82-HIK
8 CHANNEL 8.0 DVR with 2TB HDD "
☆Cameras:
" NIGHT OWL 8.0 4K
PO#908A
MODEL# CM-PTHD80W-BU-HIK
SYSTEM NTSC"
So currently we are all set up with night owl 8 channel DVR, monitor and cameras however we have been having a whopper of a bug over the last week or so with the nightowl app streaming. We have reached out to the Night Owl tech but no help so far. We are getting the drift this a wide-spread issue and since this security system is for our business security we will need to get it fixed or get switched over to a new company as soon as possible. Just weighing the options.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!

If you own the equipment, I see no reason you can't change service providers. However, if the new company is not experienced with your equipment, there will be a learning curve, and it could be steep. All on your nickel.

I'm not quite following. You have a Night Owl system. You don't need a company or tech for connections service. You'd use the Night Owl DNS service. If you're having a problem connecting.... check directly with the company.
If you have the Night Owl software/viewer on your computer..... you should be able to connect directly to your DVR by IP direct.
At the very worst..... buy a new DVR and set it up yourself or with the help of your IT person.
