Hi,

I'm trying to fix a Baldwin Entrance lock set, the security lock specifically. It is a double-cylinder lock, with both sides operated with a key.

The lock is very hard to open from the inside, the bolt would move 4/5 of the way, but then it sticks, and you'd have to use a lot force to complete the bolt move.

So, I'm trying to open the lock-set and see what might be wrong. Baldwin, however, does not have visible screws on the inside part of its lock.

Am I supposed to pry open the faceplate of the security lock? I have tried, but, it's not popping out easily.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Immanuel

I have never had this lock apart so I cannot give you definitive advice. I will see if one of my associates has experience with it. The number for Baldwin is 1 800 566 1986. Perhaps they can point you in the right direction in the meantime.
