Question corrugated metal roofing

We're building a shed and want to use corrugated tin roofing. The off-the-shelf roofing at our H Depot store is too long. How do you cut it to length? I think going at it with tin snips would be a horror of a job. Any ideas? Thanks! Sheryl A.

You can get a metal cutting blade or reverse the teeth in a flat blade of a circular saw, and cut it that way.
Good luck!

Although using a circular saw is quick, I wouldn't recommend it because the hot metal sparks can mess up the paint finish and it will start to rust. A good pair of snips is probably the best for this job. Depending on the type of metal, you may be able to cut more than one sheet at a time. If you have to cut it the same direction as the ribs, you can sometimes score the steel with a utility knife and the sheet will snap apart when you bend it at the score line.
