Angry Roof too steep...

Hi, I have built a 12'x30' workshop... with a gambrel room. The side roof is way too steep to walk on and the top section is marginally too steep (for an amateur anyway). The roof is sort of small... side roof is about 6' and upper pit about 5'. Total length is 30'. What would you recommend for working on this type of roof? I have seen pictures of roofing brackets that are used with planks... won't they ruin the shingles or cause leaks? Thanks.

Cool

No, they are temporarily nailed through the roofing felt to the roof above where you will be shingling. You can dab the nail holes with black plastic roofing cement after you move the brackets.
Or you may be able to use scaffolding, which may work even better.
Good luck!
