leaky roof

I need help! Our roof has a leak. We know where it is, but due to a tropical storm in our area, we do not know if there is a way to temporarily stop the leak until it stops raining. (The leak is aroung the exhaust vent in our bathroom.) Is there any product that we can put on the roof while it is wet that will stop the leak until we can get someone here to fix it? Thanks!

leak

Believe Henry's make a roof tar that sticks when roof is wet--not sure of brand but someone does. May be hard to remove to repair roof later, but beats repairing water damage.

Cool

You can apply most black plastic roofing cement in the rain, and it will seal it. Just check the label of what you buy.
This stuff is VERY sticky, so use throw-away rubber gloves, old clothes, and apply it with a throw-away paint stir stick, old wood ruler, etc.
You don't need to remove it later (good thing...you can't anyway). Just smear it around the vent boot thick and smooth.
Good Luck!
