leaking metal roof

I have a 40+ year old home with a simple longitudinal roof line and metal roofing I estimate at 10 years old-ish. Recently I noticed that during rainstorms, I have water running into the kitchen behind the cabinets. My initial thought was that the water heater vent penetration was leaking, because it is located about 4 feet above the cabinet location, directly in line with the wall in question. I got up on the roof the other day and everything looked good, but I went ahead and sealed all the screws and penetrations for about 3 feet on either side of the leaking wall. No help! Next rainstorm, more water. Any ideas on finding the source of my unwanted puddles?

sounds like a driving rain is making it leak, you`ll have to look under any protusions or the cap (where the 2 sides meet at the top) if i had pictures i could be of more help.

Not necessarily a driving rain...

It also leaks from melting snow, as I just discovered last night. But I also remembered that we had a dish installed for wireless internet this summer, and I am wondering if the installer didn't seal the mounting bolts?! If this is the source, the water would have to run about 20' diagonally to where the leak is coming through, but I understand this is possible.
