adding to galvanized roof
#1

I am trying to find out the best way to add a hip roof off an existing corregated galvanized roof. Is there a product that can be used to seal the valley or do I need to cut the existing roof and insert a flashing under that roof?

Kyle,
Your post was not that explicit but the valley word did get me thinking what you might have. I would suggest that metal flashing be applied under this existing roof area. This is the only way to take care of any water infiltration. The other issue is what is butting up to this and are you applying metal roofing to the new area?
You don't want water coming down the new and getting under the existing so some flashing may have to placed over the old and under the new as well for added protection.
Hope this helps!
