DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW LONG WOOD SHAKE ROOFING SHOULD LAST IN PHOENIX, AZ

That's somewhat hard to answer but approx. 25 - 35 years. Hotter temps may effect them differently but if you were to ask your local lumberyard, they should provide better answers to your specific area.

I agree with Doug. A well maintained cedar shake roof should last at least 35 years, but that heat and direct UV exposure would probably bake the shakes dry.
