Ridge Vent
Does anyone have an idea as to when the ridge vent was invented or first used? My guess is the the late 80's or 1990.

I have seen metal ridge vents that were installed in the 70s and possibly before then. Alot of people did not know alot about ventilation and how important it is back then and as a matter of fact they still build new homes with no Idea of how to calculate the ventilation needed.
