I'm going to be roofing my garage soon, and I was wondering if you could tell me how to figure the amount of shingles I need for it. The roof is 32 ft long and 16 ft to the peak. It also is a 5/12 pitch. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Do you mean that it is 16 foot from the eave to the ridge? If so you have 10 1/4 square.

34 x 16 = 512
times 2 sides = 1024 square feet
divide by 100 = 10.24 square

You'll need another bundle or two for your ridge cap and starters.
