Moss on a tiled roof

Move to a house that only has east and west facing roof.
North faces are protected from the weather. This is where moss, lichen, and other organics tend to root themselves. Not only on roofs, but on any other structure, man-made or natural. This time it's on your tile roof.
I don't know if it can be stopped. I've heard conflicting stories about galvanization and/or copper strips.
