The house we just purchased has a nice bar on it with a rotted wood roof. Basicaly it is a 8x9 concrete slab with a hand built call with shelves and a bar top at one end. The roof is slanted with 2x4 beams that have since rotted. We ripped them down and are thinking of replacing them. I was thinking of putting the same roof style back up. The top was covered with the rippled hard plastic, but the underside (bar ceiling) was exposed, and has attracted a lot of carpenter bees. Is there any type of ceiling cover that I could put over the beams on the underside so the beams will not be exposed and maybe help to prevent bees? I was thinking of plywood sheets, but not sure if they would hold. Also what can I treat it with the prevent the bees from nesting? Thanks,

I'm putting in a new covered patio. I'm not sure how to go about tying in the roofing from my house to the new roof of the patio cover. Is there any good reading material anyone can recommend. It seems easy enough, but I dont want leaks in the house after I nail the extending patio roof to my homes roof.
