Question

I am having a roof replaced but the contractor has been very backed up with work. Is there a time in the year when it is too cold (roof/shingles won't set right?). The house is in central Indiana, so temps are ranging from 35 to 60 degrees now and getting colder. Should this wait until next April or May?

Question

But is it a problem if it is replaced in colder weather? I.e. will it leak or need replacing sooner?

If it is too cold, the shingles become extremely brittle and are very hard to cut/nail.

Into the 40's and you start to deal with this problem.
