As a general rule, finding a leak in the roof entails a trip into the attic to find where the water originates. Water will run along a rafter for a ways, sometimes, before falling off at the point where the interior evidence of the leak exists. Water will leave a track on the rafters after this has happened a few times. It will generally be black. Follow it back and up to find the source of the water.

Hope this helps.

drip in the wall

i appreciate the fast response to the post i submitted earlier but i did not mention that we do not have an attic in the modular home we have. should we take the wall out where we hear the drip and check or is there a better solution?
