Question High Capacity Gutters

I would like to replace a 16 foot long section of metal gutter by a large capacity gutter. Its a section of the roof where a lot of water collects and this gutter always overflows when there is a rain storm. I know they sell 10 ft long sections of gutter but I haven't seen 20ft sections sold in home centers.I am not worried about its appearance because its the only gutter I have in the back of the house. What are my options? Thanks

Wink

On a home you should only have to use 5" gutters. If it dont handle the water you need more down spouts on it not a bigger gutter. On big buildings we use 6" gutters.

But if you want 6 " gutters go to a gutter company and they can run you out a 6" gutter the 16' +or- you want. You also need a 4" down spout for it. call around there.

I,ve got 6 inch gutter on a 70 foot run against a 6 inch fascia on my house and it looks OK.It is a bit deceiving when you have both in your hand. The 6 looks huge.No matter what size you go to,a large pipe is a must as the faster the water exits the trough the less likely it is to clog or overflow.
