Leaking roof, found area now what?

I went in the attic and found the areas where the water is coming from. There are 4 vents in the main part of the house. About a foot down from 2 of those vents is where the water is. The water is leaking between the pieces of plywood. What are my options. Where is the water orginating from the vent and runs down until it finds a gap? Should I caulk the the plywood?

Thanks in advance.

Dont caulk the plywood, it will just run down to the next seam and drip. You need to figure why the vent is leaking and fix it.

Is it the vent

Is it the vent for sure? How would I repair something like that? Redo shingle the entire area?

Thanks

Pull back the shngles over the vent flanges (where it's most likely leaking), and re-seal them with black plastic roofing cement. Wear throw-away rubber gloves and old clothes when working with that stuff. It is VERY sticky. (I usually get more on me than on the roof leak. LOL)
If the shingles are brittle and break, you will have to re-shingle to match the surrounding roofing.
Good Luck!
