Temporarily removing gutters

HI, please don't anybody yell at me for obviously doing this backward. I had some gutters installed and discovered at one of the ends of the house the wood is rotting behind the gutter.

I also want to paint the house and didn't know the new gutters would be riveted into the sides of the house. They appear to be riveted anyway.

1.) How do I remove the gutters and rotted wood and replace the gutters and wood? The wood would naturally be painted.

2.) How do I remove the rivets and where do I buy new ones and how do I re-install them.

thanks.

Thumbs up

Not sure just what you have there. But if your sure that they are rivets. Most of the time they are 1/8". So just take a 1/8" drill bit in a drill and drill them out. Right in the little hole there. To put this back home depot and lowes have the rivet gun and the 1/8" rivets you will need for the gutter.
