Flat roof choices for using as a deck/patio/balcony

Hi, I just bought a house where the roof over the 2 car garage
is accessed through the second floor kitchen door and is used
as a deck (with railing, decking, bbq). My house inspector told me
not to put decking on (attracts leaves, debris, rotting, etc) or
bbq grill on it as it could be a fire hazzard. So, what type of
flat roof can I install there to use it safely and wisely as
a recreation area with patio furniture, bbq grill, etc. (Maybe
even a jacuzzi).
Thanks,
Ray

Forget the jacuzzi on the roof. They are way too heavy to put on there without some structural work. Plus the inspector said not to put a grill there and you are still asking about doing that. If its in the inspectors report, you still do it and there is a problem... your insurance company will laugh at you on a claim.

Wink

Like out of the box here. Dont know what your set up there is for a drain on the roof. But have did roofs like that so you can walk on them and set and BBQ on them. By putting a good copper or turnplate roof down and solder all the seams. like Hellrazor Said forget the spa or hot tub up there.

Clarification

I didn't say "can I just ignore the inspector?", I said how can I
CHANGE the situation (i.e. new roof type) so I CAN use it
as the cool recreation area that it has obviously been used
as by the previous owner, but safely.
