torn tar paper during installation

Hi,
I just had a new asphalt shingle roof installed. After the first day of work, I went up into my attic and noticed that the tar paper had a 2-3" rip on one spot. I brought it to the crew's attention and they didn't seem very concerned about it.

They seemed a bit sloppy and were replaced a few days later by a different crew because they stopped showing up. (Their equipment is still in my yard killing my grass though.) I later found out that they were a subcontractor.

Should I be concerned about the rip or is it fine because it's covered up by the shingles?

Thanks to anyone who knows more about this than I do.

1) They should have fixed it.
2) Smack the contractor for using sloppy unsupervised subs.
3) Call them and give them a week to pickup the stuff or you will have a yard sale.

Thanks. #1 I just checked. They did. At least I can't find the tear and it was pretty obvious the other day. #2 I have done. #3 I was thinking of telling them I would call a trash hauler on Monday and just deduct the disposal fee from my payment. Too bad you live in PA. If you felt like coming to Maine, I'd give you their ladders
