Question How To Clean Aluminum Gutters?

Can someone tell me the best way to clean what were once white aluminum gutters? Pressure wash? What type of cleaning solution? Please don't tell me I have to paint!?!! Once white, now dirty and dingy. First time homeowner needs help! Thanks.

I would try a mild detergant, like a "lemony" dishsoap. Lemony because it smells good, and it seems to get dishes cleaner than other kinds. Seriously, I WOULD try dish soap with a terry cloth. I use it in my work to clean up lots of stuff. It will cut through many kinds of oils and shouldn't hurt anything.
The gutters will never gain back the "shiny" look they had when new however.

Wink

You have to paint them just like the house. I know I have pressure wash mine. But still had to paint them when we had the house painted.

Spray simple green on them, use a medium stiffness brush and then pressure wash off. They wont be as clean as new, but they will look better.
