Angry Leaking Addition

The trailer I am living in has an addition built on to it, and every time it rains it starts to leak. The leak is where the addition and the trailer are connected, and only in the doorway as far as I can tell. While we were still renting, the landlord was out twice to re-tar it, as they used to live in it, and he said that is what worked previously. Now we are purchasing it, and it is leaking again. This is the third time this summer! What could be the problem, and how do i go about fixing it?
PLEASE HELP!

If its only leaking in the doorway, does it only leak when the rain blows against the side with the door?

You'll need someone to look at it, and come up with a permanent flashing solution, or keep piling gops of tar on top of gops of tar, for years to come.
