Unhappy Black Spots

Hi there,
Noticed the other day little black spots (almost moldy looking) on the bottom of my white gutters. Seem to be on the "closer to the trees" side of my house. Trees were recently cut back to get them away from the house, (probably the reason for this yuckiness), but should I be concerned? Does that meant the gutters are rotting? They're also too high to pressure wash... HELP, I'm panicking!

Hard to say...
Do you know what type of guttering you have?

Aluminum?
Steel?
Vinyl?
Other?

Can you reach them with a long pole brush and a mild bleach water solution?
That will kill any mold or algae.

Thanks! I believe they are aluminum. That's a good idea... I can probably get to the worst of it through the second story windows.... I appreciate your input.
